Lecturer, writer and strategic consultant for identity-based leadership
My journey began long before I stood on a stage or wrote a book. It started when I was a child in Ethiopia, continued the journey of survival through Sudan, continued in life in Israel in the shadow of a cultural divide, and led to years of action in the business, public and international sphere.
Along the way I learned that the stones and potholes we encounter are not just obstacles. Sometimes they are the compass of our life’s journey, even if we understand the meaning of their appearance only from the distance of time and at a different point in life.
Over the years I realized that identity is not just a personal or cultural matter. It is a driving force in how people work, lead, belong, create trust and bring themselves to the table.
From this understanding was born Fentay’s unique voice – a place where identity becomes strength.
In my work with managements and organizations, I help transform cultural and identity differences from a source of friction to a source of belonging, trust and performance. In my literary and cultural work, I give language to scars, roots and memory, and invite people and communities to return to themselves and act from an inner truth.
On stage I bring an extraordinary life story, leadership experience and deep insights about identity, belonging, inner voice and the courage to bring yourself truly. My lectures are intended for organizations, managements, conferences, communities and cultural spaces that seek not only to be inspired - but to open a conversation that remains even after the meeting ends.
Working with managements and organizations, I help build a new language around diversity, trust, belonging and connected leadership. The goal is to transform human and identity complexity from a source of caution or friction - into a strategic asset that strengthens corporate culture, employee connectedness and performance.
My book, "Scarred Stone", was born out of the need to give language to memory, roots, scars and a deep female voice. In the world of literature and culture I open a door to a place where a personal story can become a universal language of meaning,
My book, my lectures and my strategic work stem from the same mission: to help people and organizations stop shrinking – and start bringing to the world who they really are.
I believe that when a person meets his roots, he meets his strength. And when an organization knows how to see the whole person, it discovers a new source of trust, belonging and performance.
This is the place where life story meets managerial excellence, and where identity becomes a human and organizational impact.
